Main Duties of the Job
To provide administrative and clerical support to the department in close collaboration with the team.
To establish effective relationships with other departments and external providers to maintain a consistent, efficient service
Main Duties
Responsibility for staff
- To act as the first point of contact for visitors promoting a positive image of the intensive care unit
- Support staff in enforcing compliance with infection control measures
- To deal with enquiries and telephone calls in a professional manner
- To prepare and process paperwork for new staffÂ
Responsibility for Resources:
- Maintain records of equipment repairs and loan
- Order clinical supplies and maintain correct stock levels
- To monitor levels of supplies , taking steps to address problems and escalating unresolved issues to senior staff in a timely fashion
Responsibility for Administration:
- To order and photocopy stationery to maintain correct stock levels
- Check patient information leaflets and re-stock as required
- To disseminate memos and staff information
- To maintain accurate and relevant documentation
- To report clinical incidents in line with Trust policy
- To ensure that patients property/valuables is stored according to Trust policy and that accurate documentation is maintainedÂ
Qualifications
Qualifications and knowledge (Essential)
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent
- Literacy and numeracy
Experience (Essential)
- IT skills

- Knowledge of Cerner or equivalent
- Customer service
