Position: Administrative Assistant

Salary: £108 per day

Job Type: Contract (6 months)

Location: Southampton (Hybrid 3 days per week on site)

Main Duties

  • Contribute to the guidance to operational teams to influence compliance with relevant policy, legislation and best practice.
  • Support the delivery of business plans. Keep up to date on changing legislation and best practice externally, to make recommendations in the organisation.
  • Assist with the development of policies and processes and monitor and advise on effective implementation in the organisation.
  • Participate in projects, providing input to improve ways of working and organisational efficiency.
  • Build relationships with operational stakeholders to understand issues and provide effective responses.
  • Provide advice to others on policies, procedures, practices, and techniques.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and highly organised Administrative Assistant with robust Excel skills, this role primarily involves data transfer between spreadsheets, maintaining accurate records, and handling statutory compliance documents.
  • The Ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualisation tools.
  • Familiarity with statutory compliance documentation and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse and interpret data accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
