Position: Area Manager

Salary: Up to £41,000 a year

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Southampton/Portsmouth/Hampshire

About the Role

As a Papa John’s Area Manager, you’ll lead a large team with Store Managers reporting directly to you. As their coach, consultant, and motivator, you’ll guide your team to drive profitable, safe, and compliant businesses.

Your role involves building an engaged team—ranging from Team Members to Delivery Drivers—united by a strong, values-driven culture focused on delivering fun and serving amazing pizza!

Qualifications

Skills we are looking for in our Area Manager:

  • Experience of engaging and leading a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload based on people needs and commercial benefits
  • Recruitment & general HR management experience
  • Initiative to identify growth opportunities which drive profitability
  • Experience of overseeing scheduling and all cost lines to drive profitability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Use of POS systems, excel & word and aptitude to learn internal systems

Experience & Qualities we are looking for in our Area Manager:

  • You bring energy, positivity & clarity of purpose to teams you lead
  • A strong history of developing talent internally
  • In depth knowledge of the hospitality retail environment
  • A track record of operating businesses safely and legally
  • At least 2 years management experience (multi-unit leadership preferred)
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence (extensive travel may be required)
  • Willing to work weekend and nights to the needs of the business
  • Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant’
