Convert is a UK-based Digital agency offering organic and paid search management, conversion rate optimisation as well as web design and development. They are experts at helping people generate and convert more business from their traffic sources and websites.

They have won plenty of awards, we came out of the pandemic stronger and busier than we entered it and most clients stay with us for years as we deliver great results for them all whilst maintaining a great work/life balance.

Their team currently consists of a mix of PPC account management, SEO and creatives spread across 9 full-time ‘in-house’ roles and a handful of part-time/full-time remote freelancers.

Position: Backend and Frontend WordPress Developers

Salary: $15 to $30 per hour

 Job Type: Part Time

About the Role

Convert is looking for a WordPress developer with great frontend and backend development experience.

Their vision for the future is that they are confident in taking on any WordPress project no matter the requirements as you, their WordPress developer, have got it covered. The company would like to rely on you and secure your support with client meetings to make sure we are covering everything.

This role will be interacting with James (Creative Director), Symphony (Lead Developer) and Shane (Managing Director).

They really appreciate someone who is accurate at what they do with a good speed to work ratio. They should not be afraid to speak up if they have ideas for improvements to make things better for our clients.

Main Duties

  • Developing full websites from XD prototypes
  • Further additions to existing websites
  • Site maintenance (core/plugin updates)
  • Google site speed optimisation
  • Development for SEO

Tools we use:

  • TeamWork
  • Google Meet
  • Email

Requirements

  • Strong WordPress Development skills – extensive backend development experience including integration with API’s
  • Strong WooCommerce Development skills
  • cPanel for server maintenance
  • Experience developing WordPress sites from scratch without themes or templates
  • Experience with Shopify
  • An eye for design (not a designer, but knows the difference between good/bad design). This is more for implementation of design so it matches what we have put together.
