Built Square Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper / Administrator to support our growing team. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of our business operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to record and verify employee holidays, working hours, and subcontractor invoices. You will also assist in coordinating marketing initiatives, including organising business cards, advertising boards, and leaflet distribution campaigns.
In addition, you will oversee the ongoing development and improvement of company websites and manage key administrative processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy across all departments. A strong command of Microsoft Outlook and excellent organisational skills are essential.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks with precision and professionalism.

Job Summary
Built Square is a small, friendly and professional property development company, specialising in bringing tired and rundown properties back to life.
There are 2 skill sets to the role, primarily Bookkeeping, secondly administration and support to the day to day running of the company.
The two roles can be done separately or for the right individual combined. They can be done remotely, and training will be provided for any new skills required.
Candidates need to be able to self-manage their time, have excellent previous references, be trustworthy and competent to do the following.
Pay will be reflective of experience.
The Role
- Bookkeeping
- Inputting invoices and receipts onto Xero
- Producing reports from Xero
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Managing payroll
- Bank feed reconciliation
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Dealing with trade / supplier accounts and invoices
- VAT returns
- CIS returns
Desirable skills/ Experience as Office Manager
- Working with Project manager to record, and check employees’ holidays, working hours and invoices from subcontractors
- Organise marketing, business cards, advertising boards etc
- Oversee websites development
- Outlook – Improvement and oversight
- Organize leafletting campaign
- Oversee Recruitment
- Write and develop Procedures Manual
- Contacting utility companies to register for supply, setting up direct debits, etc.
- Managing the closing of utility accounts
- Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and external stakeholders
