Position: Care Assistant

Salary: £13.00 – £16.00 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a one full time and two part time staff who are compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes to live independently with support. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a warm and supportive environment.

Duties

  • Assist persons with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Support persons in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with persons, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Drive persons to appointments or social activities as required.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in persons’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow individual care plans tailored to each person’s needs and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all persons.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care setting is desirable but not essential. Other experiences in care will be considered.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting persons as needed. We will consider applicants who do not drive, but are in the process of obtaining a valid UK driving licence.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
  • A genuine passion for caring for others and improving their quality of life.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
