Abercorn Care Limited has two small family owned care homes, one with 18 residents and the other with 20 residents, the homes are situated in the Portobello area of Edinburgh and we are currently looking for staff to join our care team.

The main role of a care assistant/support worker in Abercorn Care Limited is to ensure our residents receive the highest quality, person-centered care; whether that be assisting with personal care, helping at mealtimes, getting involved in resident activities etc.
It is essential that candidates meet the following criteria:
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- PVG clearance and two satisfactory written references with one coming from the immediate previous employer.
- Genuine interest in working with the elderly
As a Care Assistant you will play a key role in high quality program of support which promotes resident choice whilst delivering personal care and promoting independence. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and fluently at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a friendly team.
