Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants (Drivers) to join our team at Solace Prime Care Ltd. In this role, you will deliver essential support to individuals in their own homes, helping them remain independent, safe, and comfortable. You will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring dignity, choice, and respect at all times.
Duties
- Drive to clients’ homes and provide care in line with agreed care plans.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support with medication, following training and company policies.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
- Maintain accurate, real-time records of visits using our electronic care system and report changes promptly.
- Support clients with mobility and transport needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities where required.
- Provide additional care as required, which may include end-of-life care, support with dementia, or assistance with complex needs.
- Ensure a clean, safe environment by carrying out light housekeeping tasks when needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the wider care team to ensure well-coordinated support
Requirements
- Full UK or international driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle – essential.
- Previous experience in home care or a care setting is preferred but not essential – full training provided.
- Good spoken and written English (IELTS UKVI B1 or equivalent if applying from overseas).
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic care records.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support others.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Enhanced DBS check required (company will assist).
