Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team on a full-time basis.

Candidates preferably based in or around CB6 and CB7 are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being throughout the night. As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting service users with personal care, maintaining their independence, safety, and enhancing their quality of life.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
  • Monitor and assist service users, ensuring safety, comfort, and reassurance.
  • Communicate effectively with service users to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of observation notes, care plans, and service user progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Engage service users in conversations and activities that support emotional well-being.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care.
  • Support the service user with household responsibilities, as required.
  • Safely manage and record medication as per procedures.

Person Specifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining digital records and communication.
  • A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including alternate weekends, nights, evenings, and bank holidays.
  • Ability to support individuals who may present challenges, responding calmly and effectively, and implementing clear boundaries when required.
  • Enhanced DBS check with satisfactory clearance (required before start date).
