As a Care Assistant at Thornton, you’ll be a vital part of our dedicated care team. You’ll support residents with their daily needs, always treating them with dignity, respect, and kindness. Your responsibilities will include:

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
  • Supporting residents in meaningful activities, leisure outings, and appointments
  • Serving meals and refreshments with warmth and courtesy
  • Maintaining a clean, pleasant, and welcoming environment
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing
  • Acting as a key worker for a group of residents, ensuring care is tailored to their individual preferences
  • Supporting new team members and contributing to a positive team culture

Thornton Hall & Lodge is a bright and spacious purpose-built home that specialises in care for older people, with the Hall providing 24hr residential care for 48 residents, and the Lodge giving additional round the clock dementia care for 48 residents.
