As a Care Assistant, you’ll support customers in their own homes, helping them live independently, safely and with dignity. Whether you’re experienced or completely new to care, we’ll support you to succeed.
What you’ll do
You’ll provide high‑quality care and support, including:
- Helping customers get up, go to bed, wash, bathe, dress and use the toilet
- Supporting mobility, physical disabilities, incontinence care and use of personal aids
- Providing comfort and practical support to customers who are unwell or receiving end of life care
- Encouraging wellbeing through conversation, hobbies, outings and meaningful activities
- Light household tasks such as making beds, tidying, laundry and emptying commodes
- Preparing and serving light meals, setting trays and washing up
- Recording clear care notes and contributing to customer reviews
- Reporting any changes in a customer’s health or circumstances
- Promoting independence at every opportunity
