Care Support Worker – Additional Hours Available for CoS Holders

Salary: £12.50-£15.00 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join our team in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. In this role, you will support individuals in care homes or home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and helping to implement personalised care plans. Strong communication skills and a caring attitude are essential. A driving license is preferable but not essential.

Duties

  • Support individuals to live independently in their own homes or supported living environments.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting, and attending appointments.
  • Encourage and promote independence, choice, and personal development.
  • Support individuals to access the community, education, employment, or social activities.
  • Provide emotional support and build positive, professional relationships.
  • Follow and implement individual support plans and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the wider support team and external professionals.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing at all times.

Experience

  • Previous experience in support work, social care, supported living, or a similar setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A good understanding of person-centred support is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.
  • A caring, reliable, and proactive approach is essential.
  • Familiarity with care management systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • A driving licence is preferable but not essential.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
