About the Company

Located on 60 acres of beautiful countryside, St Elizabeth’s is a leading charity that supports children, young people, and adult day clients with epilepsy and other complex medical conditions that affect their health, social interactions, behavior, learning, and emotional development.

With over 120 years of experience, St Elizabeth’s has grown to include a non-maintained special school for both boarders and day students, a specialist further education college, domiciliary care for college learners, supported living in the community, a comprehensive day opportunities program for adult clients, and 24-hour health care provided by specialist nurses and therapists.

Position: Care & Support Worker

Salary: £12.36 to £13.13 an hour

About the Role

We are seeking committed and caring individuals with a passion for improving the lives of children and young people and adults! It is a very exciting time to join St Elizabeth’s, as our charity grows with our admissions increasing for 2024 onwards.

Sponsorship is only available to applicants who have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously from 4th April 2024.

Main Duties

  • Daily care and living support, including personal care.
  • Promoting independence and learning in line with wellbeing.
  • Encouraging fun leisure and social activities ensuring our service users are able to access the wider community.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and clean home environment.
  • Food preparation and cooking meals.
  • Administering medication (full training provided).

Qualifications

  • Passionate, caring and committed individuals with excellent communication skills
  • Individuals with some experience supporting children and young people with additional needs in a care/education setting
  • People with patience and understanding
  • Fun, resilient and flexible staff with the ability to complete mandatory training

  • Full time, part time or Bank hours available – between two or five shifts per week.
  • Mixed pattern of early and late shifts (07:00 – 14:30 and 14:15 – 21:45).
