Care Worker / Health Care Assistant – Bryn Awelon Nursing Home (Sponsorship Available)

Bryn Awelon Nursing Home in Criccieth is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers / Health Care Assistants to join the team. Previous care experience and training are an advantage, but the most important qualities are empathy, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting residents with dignity and respect.

About Bryn Awelon Nursing Home

Bryn Awelon is a care home located in the picturesque seaside village of Criccieth, North Wales. The home offers 26 bedrooms, most with scenic sea and garden views, and is expanding with a purpose-built extension providing 20 additional ensuite bedrooms, communal spaces, and a hair salon.

Position: Care Worker / Health Care Assistant

Salary: £12.21- £12.82 per hour

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Criccieth

Main Duties

  • To provide direct personal care in accordance with policies and procedures .
  • The Care worker is expected to demonstrate kindness and Compassion when providing care to our service users and ensure that the service user is supported at all times in a safe environment .
  • The applicant is expected to work day and night shifts and cover absent colleagues as required by the company.
  • Work alongside trained staff and other experienced health care assistants , to support and enable personalised individual care to our residents.To assist individuals to dress , undress , wash , bathe and use the toilet.
  • Maintain comfort and safety of each individual , repositioning to bed or chair . Assist with mobilisation, using hoists as and when necessary .
  • Serve and assist with feeding if required .
  • Encourage interests and hobbies and assist the service user to maintain contact with their relatives and friends .
  • Monitor individuals conditions and report any changes and concerns . Regular documentation of care given and changes observed , to be carried out and updated . Liaise with professional staff in carrying out care plans and be responsible for informing senior staff of any changes .
  • Will be expected to carry out light cleaning and domestic duties , including meal preparation, drink preparation and ensuring the home is clean and tidy.

Requirements

  • Applicants should show a keen interest in personal developing and updating themselves in the place of work by attending regular statuary training and other training as directed by the management of the home.
  • Applicants should understand and follow all policies and procedures at the home.
  • Applicants should have the right to work in the UK .
  • Previous care Experience and training is an advantage
  • Certificate of Sponsorship will be provided if required
  • DBS and 2 References and meeting employment conditions will be required .
