Bryn Awelon Nursing Home is seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Workers / Health Care Assistants to join its professional care team in Llanystumdwy, Wales. Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- To provide direct personal care in accordance with policies and procedures .
- The Care worker is expected to demonstrate kindness and Compassion when providing care to our service users and ensure that the service user is supported at all times in a safe environment .
- The applicant is expected to work day and night shifts and cover absent colleagues as required by the company.
- Work alongside trained staff and other experienced health care assistants , to support and enable personalised individual care to our residents.To assist individuals to dress , undress , wash , bathe and use the toilet.
- Maintain comfort and safety of each individual , repositioning to bed or chair . Assist with mobilisation, using hoists as and when necessary .
- Serve and assist with feeding if required .
- Encourage interests and hobbies and assist the service user to maintain contact with their relatives and friends .
- Monitor individuals conditions and report any changes and concerns . Regular documentation of care given and changes observed , to be carried out and updated . Liaise with professional staff in carrying out care plans and be responsible for informing senior staff of any changes .
- Will be expected to carry out light cleaning and domestic duties , including meal preparation, drink preparation and ensuring the home is clean and tidy.
- Applicants should show a keen interest in personal developing and updating themselves in the place of work by attending regular statuary training and other training as directed by the management of the home.
- Applicants should understand and follow all policies and procedures at the home.
- Applicants should have the right to work in the UK .
- Previous care Experience and training is an advantage
