Summary
As a Home Care Worker at Home Fairy CIC, you will play a vital role in assisting elderly clients with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position is crucial in helping our clients maintain independence while receiving the compassionate support they need.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical assistance with daily tasks such as personal care, food preparation, befriending, light housework, and shopping.
- Conduct safety checks on vulnerable family members to ensure their well-being.
- Assist clients with making phone calls and understanding official correspondence.
- Foster companionship through regular visits and social interactions.
- Administer medication as required and ensure adherence to care plans.
Requirements
- Experience in care work or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, especially with deaf/hard of hearing clients.
- Good written and spoken English
- Basic care certificate is desired.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary.
