About the Role
Havenly Care Limited is opening a new adult day care centre in South Birmingham. We provide person-centred support to older adults, individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer’s, and adults with learning disabilities.
We are looking for a caring and reliable Care Assistant / Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis, starting with one day per week, with the opportunity to increase hours as the service grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to adults attending the day centre
- Support personal care needs including washing, toileting, dressing and mobility
- Assist with meals, drinks, and daily routines
- Encourage participation in activities and social interaction
- Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns
- Promote dignity, independence, and person-centred care
- Drive service users to and from the centre using a small company van
Skills and Requirements
- Caring, compassionate and patient approach
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in care is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Must be confident driving a small van (essential)
- Must be able to meet insurance requirements to drive company vehicles
Working Hours
1 day per week initially (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Occasional later finishes may be required
