Bradford City Football Club seek to appoint a Cleaning/Maintenance Assistant to ensure the facilities at the training ground are safely and professionally maintained. The successful applicant to this part-time post will integrate well into our staff team as our League 1 campaign continues.

Department: Operations.

Responsible to: Director of Operations, via an appointed Line Manager.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

  • To carry out cleaning in line with established SOPs/cleaning schedules
  • To carry out general maintenance and repair tasks adhering to Club policies
  • To maintain an excellent level of presentation across our training ground facilities
  • To always work safely, promoting the Club’s policies on H&S and lone working
  • To monitor and maintain (or escalate as appropriate) training ground facilities
  • To maintain an environment of discretion, trust and confidence

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Main Duties:

  • In line with the cleaning schedules carry out daily cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained across the training ground facilities, including player changing rooms, staff offices, communal areas, and physio room.
  • Order cleaning materials and toiletries in line with purchasing/ordering authority.
  • Store, use, and dispose of once empty, cleaning materials as per COSHH guidelines.
  • Undertake minor reactive repairs and basic maintenance tasks that are within your capability, whilst being proactive with the general upkeep of training ground facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the training ground facilities to identify, report and plan/schedule current/future existing/potential defects or hazards.
  • Support the Facilities Manager with the scheduling and coordination of external contractors for any larger, planned maintenance works.
  • Ensure that the entrance to our buildings is at all times tidy, safe, and presentable.
  • Assist and support with the setting up and clearing down of areas used for training sessions, events, and meetings as requested to do so.
  • Maintain clean, organised and safe training ground facilities.
  • Ensure that waste disposal and recycling is carried out in accordance with all health and safety regulations and the Club’s environmental policies.

Other requirements:

  • Be an active, engaged and effective member of the staff team.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the culture and values of the Club.
  • Develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders across the Club.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Club, promoting a positive image in all that you do.
  • As requested by your Line Manager, or members of the football management department, undertake all other reasonable duties.
