Bloom & Care is currently recruiting Community Care Assistants (Flexiworkers) in Bedford. These full-time and part-time opportunities are ideal for individuals who want a flexible role while building a meaningful career in the UK home care and social care sector.

As a Community Care Assistant, you will provide support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. Responsibilities may include assisting with personal care, supporting daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring service users feel safe and respected in their home environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a caring, reliable, and professional approach, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while supporting clients in the community. Previous experience in home care or support work is preferred, although individuals with the right attitude and commitment to care are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as the role involves travelling between client visits. Candidates should also be based in or near Bedford to support local service users effectively.

Bloom & Care, Bedford’s only independent Outstanding-rated home care provider, is looking for a flexible Community Care Assistant to support our team by covering annual leave and additional shifts across Bedford.

This role is ideal for someone who wants flexibility and control over their rota, with the opportunity to work mornings (07:00–14:00) and/or evenings (16:00–22:00) depending on availability.

The Role

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care in clients’ homes
  • Cover team annual leave and additional shifts when required
  • Choose shifts that suit your availability
  • Morning and evening shifts available
