About the role
This is a varied role combining domiciliary care with a regular live-in element.
You will support a small number of clients in the community, alongside a consistent 2-day-per-week (min.) live-in placement supporting a young adult with complex needs in their family home.
This particular placement is incredibly rewarding, but it does require patience, consistency and the right approach.
Your day-to-day
As a Care Worker, you will:
- Deliver high-quality personal and intimate care
- Support with medication, nutrition and hydration
- Assist with mobility using equipment including an overhead track hoist and wheelchair
- Build meaningful relationships with clients and their families
- Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing at all times
- Contribute to safe, responsive and person-centred care.
A bit more about the live-in placement
You will be supporting a gentle, engaging young lady who benefits from a calm, unhurried approach and consistent routines.
The role is single-handed, with full training provided
Communication may require patience and attentiveness
The home environment is supportive, with a family member closely involved in care.

- Can navigate family dynamics with professionalism and tact
