About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Community Choices Support Worker to join our team in Luton.
In this role, you’ll provide person-centred support to adults in the community, helping them to maintain independence, achieve personal goals, and access the right services. You’ll work closely with individuals who may have learning disabilities, mental health needs, or require additional support in daily living.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised support to adults within their homes or community settings.
- Promote independence and empower individuals to make their own choices.
- Support with daily living activities, such as appointments, budgeting, and social activities.
- Build positive relationships based on trust, respect, and dignity.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual care and support plans.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
- Ensure safeguarding principles and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
About You
- Previous experience in support work, community care, or social care is preferred.
- Understanding of person-centred support and empowerment principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, empathetic, and flexible in your approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Full UK driving licence (advantageous, not essential).
