Data Analyst – Achieve Together (Remote)

As a Data Analyst, you will support our Operations teams by providing the best analytical use of data by turning analysis into a valuable insight for Achieve together.

Responsibilities

The role’s main responsibilities will include:

Analysis, user engagement and communication

  • Conduct analysis to a high standard, using primarily quantitative and qualitative approaches, to systematically examine, interpret and draw conclusion from numerical and unstructured text data.
  • Design and apply appropriate analytical methodologies suited to the question at hand. This includes a breadth of analytical projects from responding to ad-hoc requests, developing new indicators, deriving insight from our feedback programme, building engaging PBI dashboards, exploring new analytical approaches and opportunities for automation.
  • Collaborate with business partners to take a proactive approach to answering their questions about data and help define and address their analytical needs.
  • Bring an understanding to analytical findings and observations by placing it into context and answering the “so-what”.
  • Help plan and deliver Achieve together’s analytical programme of work.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business priorities and wider strategic direction to ensure alignment with analytical work.

Data visualisation, dashboards, and reports

  • Share findings and insight effectively using structured narratives and visualisations.
  • Seek opportunities where data can make a difference by exploring new tools and approaches to improve Achieve together’s data collection and predictive analytical capabilities.
  • Keep abreast with developments within adult social care sector especially around digital and analytics.

Data quality and consistency

  • Work closely with data engineer and developers to articulate how value can be drawn from data and how that can help improve how we structure and manage our data.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to improve data quality.

About you

Our perfect candidate would have:

  • Degree in statistics, mathematics, economics or equivalent field.
  • Extensive experience in analytical work, working with primarily quantitative methods including correlational and experimental approaches.
  • Experience in statistical modelling and indicator development.
  • Strong skills in analytical tools, preferably Power BI and Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, R or equivalent.
  • Some experience in qualitative approaches including content, thematic and discourse analysis, including development of qualitative coding frameworks.
  • Experience in working with large data sets, including preparation and manipulation for structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to demonstrate how design and delivery of analytical approaches has led to impactful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in using visualisations to communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, with effective prioritisation.
  • Knowledge about analysis in a health and adult social care environment desirable.
  • Understanding and experience of managing feedback programmes, quality indicator development and/or risk modelling advantageous
