Position: Data Analyst

Salary: £37.17 to £50.00 an hour

Job Type: Contract, 12 months

Location: Remote, UK

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will work closely with various departments to gather, analyse, and interpret data, ensuring that our organisation remains competitive and informed.

Main Duties

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in the development of data models and reporting frameworks that support business objectives.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis using tools such as SQL, R, and Python to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to define project requirements and deliverables related to data analysis.
  • Design and support the creation of visualisations and dashboards to fulfill reporting requirements in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by contributing insights during the planning, testing, and implementation phases.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data analysis or a related field is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel or other electronic data analysis tools is required; experience with SQL for database querying or Python is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau is advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail; ability to smash complex problems into manageable parts for analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
