The Data Analyst will collaborate with the Head of Data and AI to lead data-driven initiatives at Bidwells, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights. Through advanced visualisations and reports, they will enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and elevate client service. The role involves analysing diverse data sources, working closely with departments to address their specific needs, and staying updated on the latest analytics tools and technologies.
The primary goal is to enable data-driven decision-making, turning raw data into insights that drive growth and operational excellence. The Data Analyst will manage data collection, ensure quality, and implement processes to maintain accurate and relevant data, positioning Bidwells as a leader in innovative, data-powered solutions.
Please note this is a hybrid role with weekly travel to our Cambridge office.
Main Duties
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, clean, and analyse datasets from various sources.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools like Power BI.
- Identify trends and anomalies to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with departments to meet specific data needs.
Data Warehouse Support:
- Develop and maintain data warehouse processes.
- Handle data sourcing, transformation, and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
AI and Machine Learning Support:
- Prepare datasets for AI applications and tools.
- Support adoption of AI tools like MS CoPilot and ChatGPT.
- Assist in generating AI-driven insights and recommendations.
Business Growth:
- Help identify opportunities to enhance operations through data and AI.
- Prepare data-driven content for client presentations and proposals.
- Contribute to market and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on trends in data analytics, AI, and visualisation tools.
- Participate in training and share best practices across the organisation.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with the Head of Data and AI to achieve goals.
- Explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Ensure data integrity and compatibility through cross-departmental collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis and visualisation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data technologies (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, One Lake, Purview)
- Strong skills in data visualisation tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest and experience in AI software
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
