Data Analyst – Home Based | Royal Voluntary Service

Royal Voluntary Service is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join its dedicated team in a fully remote role. Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Data Analyst  to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a salary from £31,210 per annum.

About the Role

About the Data Analyst role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst/Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, collecting, analysing, and interpreting a range of data to support evidence-based decision-making across the charity. You will work closely with colleagues to develop dashboards, generate reports, and uncover insights.

The charity wants to work in a more dynamic way in terms of real-time data generation and consistency. This role will be critical to us understanding the delivery of our strategy, services, and special projects. This role will work across the charity from marketing/communications, EDI, finance, to operational and governance teams. The role covers reporting of financial and non-financial data, with a key focus on impact reporting.

Location:  Home based with occasional national travel

Hours:  35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What you’ll bring as our Data Analyst:

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Power BI reporting and creation of dashboards to end user requirements
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and processes

Skills

  • Proven Power BI report writing experience
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills to provide data analysis and trend analysis
  • Proven ability to understand data structures, and data modelling
  • Comfortable working independently to tight deadlines
  • Small group or 1-1 User Training
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence in building relationships across teams

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years Data Analyst or reporting analyst experience.
  • Proven experience in data analysis or a related field with a strong proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
  • Advanced data analysis and trend identification
  • Delivering clear and documented display of results to end users
  • Interpreting end user requirements into technical provision and liaising with non-technical users
  • Working to deadlines and specific requests and delivering on time
  • Working off own initiative investigating data trends, taking ownership of actions
  • Presentation of results in both technical and clear language
  • Experience working with large datasets and databases
  • Producing accurate, cross-checked results that can be verified, and taking complete responsibility for those results.
  • Experience implementing best practices around data and reporting.
