About the Role
My client, a leading organisation in their field, and they are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with large data-sets and provide actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the business.
Main Duties
- Data Analysis: Analyse large data-sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide clear, actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Data Quality & Validation: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data by implementing validation processes and checks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Data Visualisation: Create visualisations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to effectively communicate data insights.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analyses as required to address specific business questions or challenges.
- Process Improvement: Continuously look for opportunities to improve data analysis processes, reporting efficiency, and the overall data pipeline.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-driven role.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and validation processes.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data modelling techniques.
- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools and techniques.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and how they can be applied to data analysis.
