About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, supporting business decisions, and enhancing operational efficiency. This role requires proficiency in various analytical tools and programming languages, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Design and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Utilise SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant data for analysis.
- Create visual representations of data using Tableau to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Write scripts in Python and Bash Unix shell for automating data processing tasks.
- Participate in project management activities, ensuring timely delivery of analytical projects.
- Provide support in business analysis efforts by interpreting complex datasets and presenting actionable recommendations.
Experience
- Proven experience in data analysis or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with SDLC principles is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of database design and management practices.
- Proficiency in SQL is required; experience with Tableau is highly desirable.
- Competence in programming languages such as Python is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
