The Role
We are looking for a friendly, hands-on Desktop & Device Support Technician to join our technical team.
This role combines technical support, device repairs, and customer-facing service in our shop and on-site with clients.
You’ll work on a wide range of devices and tasks, including phone and tablet repairs, laptop troubleshooting, software setups, network issues, POS equipment, and general tech support for customers and local businesses.

Main Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first and second-line technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and networks
- Diagnose and resolve software, connectivity, hardware and printing issues
- Install and configure operating systems, applications, updates and security patches
- Build, configure and optimise laptops and desktops
- Set up routers, Wi-Fi and basic network equipment
- Document work carried out and maintain accurate service records
- Provide occasional remote support and on-call assistance when required
Device Repairs
- Carry out professional repairs on smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops
- Complete repairs such as screen replacements, battery swaps, charging ports, and board-level diagnostics (where possible)
- Perform quality testing to ensure repaired devices meet our standards
- Support customers with setup, data migration and device optimisation
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop, tools and stock
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a technical support, repair or IT role
- Confident working with Windows, macOS, iOS and Android
- Able to diagnose hardware and software issues across laptops, desktops and mobile devices
- Understanding of basic networking, Wi-Fi, routers and small office setups
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain things clearly
- Able to manage workloads and work independently within a small team
- Any repair or IT certifications are an advantage
