Could you work as part of a team committed to improving the nutritional health of individuals at home and in care homes settings in Tayside?
We are seeking an experienced Dietetic Support Worker to support the Community Dietetic Team, which provides services to care homes, GP surgeries, people living at home and the community hospital setting. You will assist in delivering appropriate nutritional care to individuals and patient groups, providing organisational and administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the service. The Dietetic Support Worker will also provide support to electronic system for monitoring nutritionally vulnerable residents in care homes and the oral nutritional supplement ordering system. They will be involved in developing and implementing standards of best practice.
This post would suit an individual with good communication and inter-personal skills, and a genuine interest in nutritional care. Previous experience in community and/or hospital based dietetic services is essential for this post. Knowledge of IT systems, particularly Inhealthcare and Excel, would be an advantage but full training will be provided. There will also be opportunities to undertake training and develop new skills.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
