Golden Living Care supports applicants who are seeking a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS). Please note that COS is not offered immediately; all candidates must work with the organisation for a minimum of three months before being considered. Applicants may join on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on the conditions of their current visa.
The role includes fully funded training, covering e-learning modules and optional face-to-face sessions to help you build confidence and develop essential care skills. Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals within their own home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for, assisting them with daily activities and promoting their independence.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management.
- Help implement care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide emotional support.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or within a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communicating within the team.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges is essential for success in this role.

- Complete an onboarding pack and supply us with your right to work documents
- Attend our fully funded training day
- Attend our Stafford office for induction, issue of PPE and uniform and be assigned your shadow shifts

- Please note that if you require a new DBS check, you would be responsible for the cost of this.
A driving license and a car is required for this role due to the nature of the business.

We offer permanent contracts of either 20 hours or 37.5 hours per week with plenty of work across Staffordshire!

All candidates will be required to commence work with ourselves on part time of full time basis depending on what your visa allows.
All candidates will be required to work a minimum of 3 months with us before COS is considered.
