About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and adhering to care plans.
- Monitor and document patients’ health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- A valid Full UK Driving licence with access to car and Class 1 Business Insurance is Mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with patients’ needs.
