Position: Domiciliary Care Worker

Salary: £12 to £14 an hour

About the Role

As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide essential live-in homecare services to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life. This role requires a compassionate, dependable, and skilled individual committed to making a meaningful difference.

Main Duties

Personal Care:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.

Medication Administration:

  • Ensuring clients take their prescribed medication on time and documenting adherence.

Companionship and Emotional Support:

  • Building trusting relationships with clients and providing comfort through conversation and presence.

Meal Preparation and Housekeeping:

  • Preparing nutritious meals, performing light cleaning tasks, and maintaining a tidy living space for the client.

Health Monitoring:

  • Observing clients’ health conditions, identifying changes, and reporting concerns to family members or healthcare providers.

Transportation:

  • Accompanying clients to medical appointments, shopping, or social activities.

Communication:

  • Coordinating with family members, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure seamless care.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, for accountability and continuity of care.

Qualifications

Driving Licence (Mandatory):

  • The ability to drive is essential for transporting clients and traveling to different locations as part of the job.

Proficiency in English:

  • Clear communication is vital for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.

Passion for Care:

  • A genuine interest in helping others and providing compassionate support.

Experience (Required):

  • While prior experience in care roles is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.

Work Setting

This role involves working in a homecare and live-in setting, which means you will spend extended periods in the client’s home, providing hands-on support tailored to their needs.
