Salary: £23,200 a year

About the Role

Due to this recent development and the expected increase in care delivery hours, we are looking for over 20 domiciliary care workers both male and female specifically in the Sandwell area to deliver a high level of quality care to; learning disability, physical disability, mental health, and elderly care.

Do you live in the Sandwell area and can cover calls in the below area:

Smethwick, Oldbury, Tipton, West Bromwich, Wednesbury, Rowley Regis, Cradley Heath, Tividale, Old hill, and the rest of Sandwell locality; preferably a driver, and you possess all it takes to care and genuinely look after vulnerable clients, look no further as we are currently recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • To provide a service of care to service users to enable them to lead as independent a lifestyle as possible.
  • To provide personalised care and household management for each service user according to each service user’s specific care plan.
  • Assisting service users with activities such as personal hygiene, medication, attending appointments, shopping, and general cleaning.
  • Ensure that at all times you observe and respect the service user’s dignity, privacy and independence as far as practicable.
  • To participate as directed by the Domiciliary care services manager/care coordinator in induction training and regular in-service training programs.
  • To maintain accurate, concise, and timely records of service user care on Care-planner, diary sheets, time, and mileage sheets.
  • To participate in staff, Team, and Quality Management Review Meetings as directed by the domiciliary care service manager/supervisor.
  • To report back to the domiciliary care services manager/supervisor on any aspect of service user care that he/she feels warrants further assessment or urgent attention.
  • To ensure punctuality on time to service users call and equally ensure the allocated time with the service user is spent at each visit.

Qualifications   

  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and ensure professional boundaries are observed.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • A flexible and practical approach.
  • Already possess or willing to work towards completing a Care certificate.
  • Ability to undertake a range of tasks such as providing all aspects of personal care and use of mobility aids.
