About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home-care environments. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in ensuring the well-being of our clients.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing and mobility
- Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Monitor and record patients’ health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care setting
- Drive to clients’ homes as required for home-care visits
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (care home or home care) preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous
- Valid driving licence desirable for those required to travel between client locations
- A caring attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn
Additional Information
For applicants requiring visa sponsorship, the role will be offered on a six-month temporary basis, after which UK Health Kits Ltd will consider sponsoring a Skilled Worker visa upon successful completion of the probationary period.
