About the Role
We are seeking Part time Community Care and support Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living, and home care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities.
Must have a valid driving licence and have access to a car as this job requires traveling to service users home.
Part Time Hours 16-20 hours per week
Immediate Start available if DBS is on the update service.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, and grooming for clients.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond to emergencies appropriately.
- Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is an advantage.
- Skills in meal preparation and general caregiving are essential.
- Experience in childcare may be beneficial for those working with families.
- Certification in first aid is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided.
