About Us
Connecting Families provides trauma-informed residential and community-based support for parents and children. Our work is grounded in the belief that change happens through relationships, and that families achieve the best outcomes when they are understood, supported, and empowered by the team around them.
We deliver services across residential settings, community environments, and family homes — always with the child’s safety and wellbeing at the centre. Our approach is guided by trauma-informed principles, and strengths-based practice.
The Roles
We are looking for caring, committed, and reliable people to join our expanding team. Depending on your experience and interests, you could be:
- Supervising family contact sessions in a safe, supportive environment.
- Providing day-to-day guidance and role-modelling to parents in our residential family assessment centre.
- Offering practical and emotional support to families in the community.
- Supporting parents to build routines, strengthen attachment, and sustain positive change.
- All roles involve working closely with families, recording observations, and contributing to multi-agency work that supports assessment and safeguarding.
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping families succeed.
- Able to build trusting, professional relationships.
- Good communicators with strong written and observation skills.
- Flexible and reflective, with an understanding of trauma and safeguarding.
- Experienced in support work, family support, social care, childcare, or similar settings is essential – full training will be provided.
Whether you are an experienced practitioner or hold experience which lends itself to this role, we would love to hear from you.
Shortlisting may begin upon receipt of applications, and the Recruiting Manager may close the vacancy early if enough suitable candidates are identified.
