Shine Healthcare Solutions is currently hiring a compassionate and reliable Female Care Worker / Driver to join their dedicated care team in Tideswell. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in nursing homes, assisted living, or home care, and who possess a valid driving licence.

Experience in dementia or elderly care is highly desirable, along with knowledge of medication administration and effective patient care techniques. While prior experience is preferred, Shine Healthcare Solutions values a caring attitude and professional integrity.

COS visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate, subject to past experience and successful completion of a probation period. To support relocation, accommodation is available for the first three months of employment.

About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The Care Worker will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those in their care, particularly for individuals with specific needs such as dementia or behavioural challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to assist clients with challenging behaviours.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their cognitive and physical abilities.
  • Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care techniques.
  • Experience in dementia care or senior care is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
  • A caring attitude towards individuals of all ages, including children when applicable.
  • Relevant certifications in healthcare or caregiving are desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to drive is essential, company car can be provided. The use of a personal car will be subsidised mileage payment.
