Duties
- Administer PEG feeding, including preparation of feeds, maintaining equipment, and monitoring for complications.
- Support individuals with epilepsy.
- Support individuals with oral suctioning needs.
- Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, continence care, mobility) while promoting dignity and independence.
- Monitor, record, and report any changes in the individual’s health and wellbeing.
- Recognise and respond promptly to medical emergencies, including PEG-related complications.
- Support with medication administration in line with training and policies.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and the wider care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, incident reports, and health observations.
- Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety policies at all times.
- Participate in regular training, clinical competency checks, and supervision to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
Skills
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to facilitate clear communication with clients and colleagues.
- Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and effectively convey information.
- Experience in a home care setting.

Essential Requirements
