Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Care Worker to join our team as a Sponsored Care Worker. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to support an individual with Complex and Physical needs within Domiciliary care. Duties:
- To encourage and help promote the quality of life according to needs as identified in the service user’s personal care plan.
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, feeding, medication administration and complex care interventions.
- Assist in the safe hoisting, transferring, repositioning and movement of service users.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
- Document care, progress, and any incidents or concerns.
What we need from you:
- A naturally caring approach and a passion for helping people maintain their dignity, independence, and choice.
- Must have a full UK driving license & business insurance on their vehicle and be able to drive to service user care calls.
- A respectful, courteous, and compassionate nature and belief in giving your personal best at all times.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with the service user and fellow colleagues.
- Reliability and flexibility to support the nature of the business.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to provide patient and compassionate care.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a care worker.
- Experience working with individuals with complex health needs such as Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Autonomic Dysreflexia.
- Experience in at least some complex care interventions such as PEG Care, Catheter Care, Stoma Care, etc.
Desirable but not essential:
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
