Working as a Relief Support Worker means playing a vital role in helping people live independently and confidently. The position focuses on delivering person-centred support that respects each individual’s dignity, choices and goals. You will assist service users with daily living activities, encourage social participation and help them develop important life skills within a safe and supportive environment.

Applicants should have at least 12 months of paid experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities. A warm and empathetic personality is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and build trusting relationships. The role requires someone who can work in a respectful, person-centred manner and remain patient, compassionate and supportive in different situations.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care are consistently maintained. The role also involves promoting independence, encouraging positive wellbeing and supporting individuals to participate in activities that enhance their quality of life.

We are looking for a motivated, caring Relief Support Worker to provide person-centred support 12 service users with learning disabilities and complex needs in Wythenshawe. This is a fantastic service which enables great outcomes for the people we support.

A minimum of twelve months employed experience of working with people with a learning disability is essential. You must be warm and able to work in a person-centred way with people with a learning disability. The service is easy to travel to with excellent public transport by bus and tram. Located only 20 minutes away from Sale, Chorlton, Didsbury, Cheadle and Manchester Airport.

We have a range of flexible hours to suit you and your family. As a Creative Support Bank Staff member you will also have access to our free app which allows you to pick up shifts in any area of the country, provides information on the service and shifts as well as directions. You will be paid on a weekly basis.
