Are you a proactive finance professional looking to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced retail environment? We are seeking a dynamic Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Team. In this critical role, you will deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insight to drive the success of our Design and Installation business.
Key Responsibilities
- Insightful Reporting: Update and distribute weekly and monthly financial reports (including the Weekly Trading Pack) to the Wickes Exec and key stakeholders.
- Month-End Ownership: Lead the month-end process for consumer finance costs, including P&L analysis, journal posting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strategic Analysis: Provide robust financial analysis and challenge for major business initiatives, using data to drive recommendations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the sales, gross margin, and consumer finance cost forecasting processes to ensure targets are met and variances understood.
- Category Management: Manage the annual category range review process from a financial cost and benefit perspective.
- Data Innovation: Create and maintain advanced reporting dashboards using SQL and data warehouse extraction techniques.
Who are we looking for?
- Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
- Proven experience in senior-level business partnering and end-to-end P&L month-end ownership. Retail experience is preferred.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills are essential, with experience in SQL reporting being a significant advantage.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
