French Early Years Teacher at Les Petites Etoiles (Visa Sponsorship)

A highly rewarding role has opened for a French Early Years Teacher looking to make an impact in the lives of young schoolchildren as Les Petite Etoiles is currently recruiting.

Les Petites Etoiles West Hampstead is a French and English bilingual nursery school that caters to children from various nationalities and language backgrounds, facilitating their learning of both French and English. Additionally, the nursery offers an introduction to the Mandarin language for children starting at 6 months old.

Les Petites Etoiles Montessori West Hampstead welcomes children aged 6 months to 4 years old (up to Reception). The educational and care program adheres to both the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Montessori approach and philosophy. The nursery provides a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon tea, with all meals and snacks prepared using organic ingredients.

Position: French Early Years Teacher

Salary: £26,180 a year

Main Duties

  • You will assist with all daily routines, supervise the children in their daily activities, helping to organise and prepare activities and materials.
  • Assisting with settling new children following the Settling in Policy.
  • Supporting the children with their personal care routines.
  • Supporting the Key Person with duties that must be carried out throughout the day.

Qualifications

  • CAP Petites Enfance
  • Diplôme d’Etat d’Auxiliaire de Puériculture
  • Diplôme d’Etat d’Educateur de Jeunes Enfant
  • An Ofsted-recognised qualification, Level 3 or above
  • An Ofsted-recognised Montessori qualification
  • And at least one year experience in a nursery setting.
  • Ability to communicate with and understand children.
  • Great people skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with parents
  • Good spoken and written English (AND French if working as a French speaker).
  • Competent IT skills (Word, email)
  • Confidence to put into practice what you know
  • Great listening skills
  • Problem-solving & a positive can-do attitude
  • Resilient (strong) yet also caring and great empathy
  • Able to take constructive criticism
  • Able to be self-reflective to improve constantly

Study Requirement

  • For unqualified candidates, you will be required to study for an early years qualification recognised by OFSTED to learn the EYFS.
