Main Duties
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Promote independence and respect clients’ dignity and privacy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; College Degree Preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare, domiciliary care, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Compassion, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be comfortable with patient care and have excellent communication skills.
