The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting our residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
You will work closely with the nursing and care team to ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care, particularly supporting individuals living with age-related health conditions and dementia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents
- Support residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Assist residents with meals, hydration, and nutrition
- Support residents living with dementia with patience, understanding, and reassurance
- Encourage residents to participate in activities and social engagement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or wellbeing to senior staff
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Complete care documentation and records accurately using care systems
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive care team
