While previous experience in a care role is desirable, it is not essential, as full training is provided. The Health Care Assistant demonstrates a caring, reliable, and respectful attitude, strong communication and time management skills, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet;
- Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary;
- Helping tidy the patient’s home or room;
- Talking to patients and reassuring them;
- Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals;
- Assisting other staff when needed;
- Adhering to professional standards; and
- Recording daily notes, medications and other risk based observations on One plan software (training will be given);
- Reporting to the Senior Health Care Assistant and Manager any important changes in the patient’s condition.
- You should be naturally caring, reliable, hardworking, patient and flexible.
