Position: Health Care Assistant
Salary: £12 – £13 an hour
Job Type: Part time/Full Time
Location: Sussex, UK
Main Duties
- Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers within the home environment.
- Monitoring service user’s conditions and reporting any changes to the management team.
- Assisting with meal preparation.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for service users. When directed, maintain cleanliness of service user’s home, to meet with health and safety requirements.
Other task may include but not limited to:
- Light fires or operate other sources of warmth.
- Ensuring good quality of life by using home facilities are available to do the laundry, wash the dishes etc.
- Undertake essential shopping when required.
- Administer and record medications.
- Assist with the collection of medicines from the pharmacy when required.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Please note that we willing to train you if you have limited work experience and also able to offer COS (Tier 2 visa sponsorship) however, you must have worked with us for 6 months to be considered. We are keen on candidates who have a valid driver’s license and have their own car already resident in the United Kingdom.
