Responsibilities

  • Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support the implementation and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation protocols
  • Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Support clients with light household tasks or errands, including driving when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families to ensure consistent and compassionate care
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to promote a safe environment for all

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and understanding digital care plans
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
  • Driving experience or possession of a valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting clients outside of care settings
