About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to follow care plans diligently, and have a genuine passion for helping others.
Principal responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding.
- Monitor and report on the health and well-being of residents, ensuring that care plans are followed accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents at all times.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care.
- Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or other duties related to resident support.
- Utilise IT systems to document care provided and update resident records as necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow care plans meticulously and adapt to the individual needs of residents.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles that require travel between locations.
