Healthcare Assistant

Location: Wolverhampton, WV1

Pay Rate: £13.50 – £18.00 per hour

Shifts: Full-Time & Part-Time | Day and Night shifts (6–12-hour shifts)

The Role

You will support children with complex clinical needs in home and community settings, helping to promote comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Seizure management (including rescue medication)
  • PEG feeding
  • Suctioning and oxygen therapy
  • Personal care and mobility support
  • You’ll also support communication (including non-verbal), daily routines, and engaging activities such as play and sensory sessions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 months’ hands-on care experience
  • Experience with respiratory care, oxygen therapy, and epilepsy management
  • Confident with medication, moving and handling, and personal care
  • Experience with children’s tracheostomy care
  • Reliable, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • Pet friendly
