Salary: £31,208 –  Â£33,804 per year

About the Role

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our client’s team at a 28-bed Orthopaedic Ward catering to both elective and emergency patients. While desirable, prior training and experience are not necessary as the successful candidate will receive appropriate training.

The role involves promoting the well-being, health, and independence of patients by assisting them with daily activities to achieve planned care goals. Working under the guidance of trained staff, you’ll have immediate access to support and guidance.

Main Duties

  • Adherence to the code of practice for health and social care support workers.
  • Participation in care delivery, including planning and organising patient activities.
  • Compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
  • Safeguarding and welfare responsibilities for all individuals under care.
  • Maintenance of a vocational QCF Portfolio.
  • Ensuring activities of daily living align with care plans and clinical standards.
  • Collaborating within the multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Possession of or commitment to work towards a vocational award in healthcare.
  • RQF/NVQ Level 2 Care Certificate.
  • Experience in healthcare settings.
  • Basic IT skills.
